I bought this on a whim last year. Research tells me it's probably from the 1970's but I'm not entirely sure as I'm not really into knives. Sheath is in really nice condition. Handle looks great. Blade is duller than dishwater. Looks like it might have a very slight bend. Looks like tip might be chipped. All in all I'd say it's in pretty nice shape for its age. $150 as is local cash sale only. Thank you!

IIRC, the Gerber MK1's were canted at the hilt. They were meant to be boot knives, and the handle had a slight angle to clear the calf.
The MKI was never produced with a purposeful cant. When you see a MKI with a cant, it's just a manufacturing deviation or someone over-estimated it's prying abilities.
 
Looks like the early version MK1 that had the green handle and tan sheath. The later versions were black and black.
