Purpose:
The purpose of the Tactical Home Defense (THD) course is to combine the elements of environmental surroundings and preparedness to maximize survivability of innocents in intruder events such as home invasion or other direct threats to human life.
Goal of Training:
To have successful trainees proactively apply their training to develop a robust security plan for their home.

Home security and early warning signs
Designing a Family Emergency Plan
Cover vs. Concealment
Emergency Power Cut-off Systems
Retreat Options/Egress Methods
Your rights and responsibilities under the law
Keeping your environment simple and defensible
Communication with 911/Law Enforcement Responders
Shooting tactics in the 7 yard environment
Left/Right/Prone Barrier Shooting
Weapons placement/availability/type
Reactive Shooting from hip/sitting/prone
Developing the Combat Instinct/Shooting for Keeps
Targeting the occupied area of the aggressor
Both eyes open shooting stances and techniques
*The shooting related topics are introductory in the Tactical Home Defense curriculum. Further refining of these skills by taking the Level 1 Tactical Defensive Shooting class offered separately is highly recommended.
Cost and Availability:
THD classes are available on various dates during the month, both daytime and evening hours. Visit ThreatDynamics.com for exact times and dates. Most classes are limited to a maximum number of 20 students and take about three hours to complete.
Classes cost $40 per person and $60 per couple which includes use of Threat Dynamics range and firearms during the class. Private or small group instruction is available on a reservation basis.
