Hey everybody,

I have a Winchester 94 chambered in 30-30. After I load the first round into the magazine it pops back into the receiver, blocking the loading gate, and making it extremely difficult to load the next round. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?? Thanks for your time.

Does it chamber a round okay?

I'm pretty sure the "cartridge stop" is the carrier - maybe it's stuck?

I'd fix it or get it fixed rather than figure out how to load around the problem. '94s are pretty easy to disassemble, I'd take it apart, clean and lube (they get pretty gunky in the receiver) and put it back together and see if that fixes it.

Or you could find someone who wants a second '94 and sell it to them cheap. ;)
