There are a small number of automatic pistols that were or currently are produced in .44 Magnum and similar class (e.g., .44 AMP, .45 Winchester Magnum, .475 Wildey Magnum, .50Æ, etc.). Examples include:
The Auto-Mag:
The Desert Eagle:
The LAR Grizzly:
The MagMatic:
The Wildey:
And should you find yourself in Edwardian England, well, the concept isn't new. The Mars automatic in .45 Mars Long hurled a 220-grain slug at 1,200 ft/s.
Anyone into this curious niche of arms? What have you run and/or currently do? What purpose? Any you found to be problematic?
Enjoy!
