The state of New Jersey will be having a big gun buyback event next month, offering up to $200 for each gun surrendered to authorities for destruction, with a max of 3 guns per individual. $100 will be given for every ordinary rifles or shotguns that is tuned in. $120 will be given for any kind of handgun, and $200 will be given if the firearm is an evil "assault weapon".

Persons turning in guns will not need to provide any ID, or information of any kind about themselves. All payments will be made in cash.

So guys, simply move to New Jersey, and you can then make anywhere from $300 to $600 next month, just by giving up 3 of your guns:

Do you think that more and more states are going to start doing this?? It appears that gun amnesties are not just for Australians.

New Jersey Attorney General Christopher Porrino said that every gun turned in would be melted down, so that it could no longer be stashed in vacant houses for use as a "community gun", by criminals. It would seem that justifications by government officials for gun control are getting wackier every day.

I wonder: Do all of the vacant homes here in Oregon have unregistered firearms hidden away inside them?

Here is a photo taken at the end of a previous gun buyback program in New Jersey:

These never work, nor do they make any sense. The part that really gets me though is that they put a limit of 3 guns per person. Why? Don't they want to get ALL of the evil guns off the street? Seems if you were really serious, there would not only be no limit, but maybe a bonus for every 5 or 10 you bring in.

These idiots. I can't even.

Yep after the really 'good stuff' is picked through by the organizers & others involved, the rest gets appraised and offered to dealers for sale or consignment to cover some of the cash outlay and the real junk gets publicly destroyed to show how they are 'Getting them off the street'

It is so saddening to see photos like that and know there are collectable/historic guns in the pile.
Yep - on another forum several years ago a poster reported as to having gone to a buy back and just kind of 'loitered' around in the line looking at what was being turned in and he reported seeing what appeared to be some nice older stuff including some old Winchesters and one looked like an 1873. Very sad.

$200 for an AR? Sure, that will get law abiding citizens to turn in their guns.
