Those of you who have the golden rod style of dehumidifier, did your safe come with an electric outlet pre-installed or did you have to do it yourself?

My Liberty safes have a small hole in them where you can run a cord through. Take Goldenrod off the cord, run wire through the hole, reassemble. Goldenrod comes with instructions to remove cord included.

I've had my safe in the garage for over ten years, and the only thing I've ever done is throw a few desicant packets in it that came in the packaging of other things I've bought. No problems ever.

this does what a dehumidifier does and can't do (lights)

+1 on Goldenrod and rechargeable Eva Dry units. I use both here on the "wet side" of the mountains and am pleased with both. Eva Dry in the safes, and Goldenrods in a storage room and a storage closet.
