Purchased a used 700 some time ago and put it in the big black box. Recently took it out for a through clean/lube.
Removed firing pin to cycle live rounds. Upon extraction I noticed a dent on the top of the case mouth. This is occurring during the feed cycle, as the round is entering the barrel.
No marks on the bullet, just the case mouth as it begins to enter the barrel. Definitely some sort of feed problem.
Replaced the follower spring, same problem?

Any ideas?

Maybe a sharp edge or burr here:

Reloads or factory loads? Reloads may have been trimmed and not outside chamfered.
