A buddy of mine is starting to reload and wants me to save my brass.
I've always thought it was cheaper to just buy it as well. But I am seeing a few folks reloading 5.56 and 7.62.

5.56 is still cheaper to reload, 7.62x39 I think is cheaper to buy.

The big reason being the 5.56 weapons "prefer" brass cased ammo (which is more spendy generally) and the 7.62 can use the steel cased stuff (which is generally cheaper loaded and can't be re-loaded).

My AK dent the crap out of wolf steel case so I can't imagine what it will do for brass ammo. Most people shoot wolf ammo through their AK's.
