Even though I've worked in IT for the last decade-ish, I've always considered myself more blue collar. I get along with those guys much more than most the bubbleguming dweebs in my field. I turned wrenches and worked in a machine shop in my younger years.

Working at Microsoft was a nightmare. When I got 'downsized' from there, I tried hard to get into the trades, but nobody wanted me. Back to being a computer mechanic.

What about us blue collar workers that are making north of a hundred k? It looks like it's tough for us to find another job too. I'd love another job.
