I don't think he was asking for a general history on Lugers but was looking for more on this one in particular.

From what I see you have a N with a crown proof mark which I believe it would mean it is a commercial use Luger and not a war time Luger.
I believe that is the DWM Marking on the toggles.
I don't see a marking in front of the chamber.
Also you didn't discuss the serial number of the magazine.
