Les Baer no longer makes new rifles. It was simply too difficult to compete with mass produced, lower cost offerings in the market. Rather than lower their standards, they focused back on their world class custom pistols. Still, this rifle was the first of their AR rifle line, and built with the same care and precision as a custom hand gun or bolt-action rifle. It's as dependable as any rifle built, and it's reliably accurate enough for any special purpose. Les Baer Custom (LBC) guaranteed half-MOA accuracy on their new rifles.

It has a 24" heavy contour barrel, with a 1/12 twist for better stability of the smaller 40-55 grain projectiles often popular with the long-range varmint hunters. Please keep that in mind if you're considering. It does not do as well with the heavy for caliber bullets.
