M1916 Mauser 22 inches barrel, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO/.308 WIN.

The stock has been sanded and refurbished at Spanish Government Arsenal in Oviedo when they rebarreled a 7.62x51mm NATO/.308 WIN barrel in early 1960s, and the bluing condition is very nice and attractive.

This is a well known as Guardia Civil (Spanish Military Police) carbine during Spain under the dictatorship of General Francisco Franco, so it is a great budget rifle for shooter or to start your collection.

Import marks are located under side of barrel near muzzle, but no import marks on receiver.

Moreover, you can use a common caliber ammo 7.62x51mm NATO/.308 WIN that you can get anywhere or everywhere in the United States.

I can provide a copy of .308 WIN ammunition pressure testing data result conducted by H.P White Laboratory if you want it.

This is the Colombian Government contract Mauser during Colombian Civil War known as La Violencia from 1948 to 1958.

Still has double finished, packerized with thick enamel coating, very resistive; the special feature of FN Mauser finished for humid in Colombia.

Pre-Ban of 1968 importation of foreign-made surplus firearms, so no import marks on receiver nor barrel.

The blue book price of FN M1950 Mauser is $1200 according to "The Official Gun Digest Book of Guns & Prices" written by Jerry Lee, but my price is $800 cash because stock and bolt serial number does not match.

Most of Colombian Government contract Mauser has been refurbished, such as parts replacement by their government arsenal after Colombian Civil War like CMP M1 Garand.
