I wish they made these specific to the Rossi. No such luck, however.
Got the rear sight installed. I had to make a brass shim under the dovetail and mill a substantial portion from the bottom of the sight in order to sit low enough to not shoot 3ft high.

I may keep the front stock for now. It's a finer sight than the HIVIZ one.

I went with the Skinner Alaskan peep on mine and used the Ranger Point Precision dovetail filler.
If I recall, the stock Henry buckhorn sight has a large notch.
I almost went with that peep sight that fits where the bolt safety is; it would add quite a bit of sight radius, but I didn't like that it wasn't windage adjustable. That's what I liked about the HIVIZ, the rear is windage and elevation adjustable.

How do you like having a peep aperture further away from your eye?

It's not, it's closer.
