This is a Browning High Power Medallion bolt action rifle made in Belgium made in 1968. Caliber is .243 Winchester. Comes with a Luepold Vari-X III 2.5x8 scope. This is a very nice, high quality, rifle and has intricate engraving (as can be seen from the photos). The rifle is in very good condition (wood: about 95%, steel: about 98%). There are a number of nicks and scratches on the wood stock. The steel is in excellent condition.

Does this rifle have a salt wood stock?

There does not appear to be any salt in the wood. I removed the stock and the screws and bolts are clean as is the underside of the barrel. I also tested with silver nitrate, which was clear (did not turn white).
