I have bought equipment from Federal prisons and used to deliver to them when I owned my truck company. Some you wouldn't even know were prisons. They converted the old Red Horse compound outside Nellis AFB to a federal prison, no walls, dorms were where prisoners lived, various paid job opportunities on the site, mess hall dining. Was at least as good as a young GI lives. I spent a couple of days there picking up equipment I bought from the Fed.
