    Default Glock Instructor Qualification Test

I'm taking a Glock Instructors (IW) course in a few weeks. Anyone know any details of the qualification shoot?

Now is there anyone who is familiar with the course, who knows what the qual test is?

Sorry I can’t help you with your query, but it sounds like a worthwhile course. I hope you will take the time to post an AAR.

just an update to my own thread. Took the course and test. Don't remember all the details of the qualification but it was 50 rounds, starting from close contact all the way back to 50 yards. The shooting was controlled pairs to about 25 yards, then longer courses of fire (Six rounds, reload, another six rounds, etc.). We used standard FBI-Q targets but that was because that was what was available at the range - the instructor said they would have used whatever was available. The range had turning targets so the shooting was timed with the turners. All hits on paper counted, whether inside the target box or not. Needed 45 hits to pass (i.e. 90%). Everyone passed but the instructors said we were a pretty competent group and usually not all students pass.

It was a good group of guys. Some county SO's from CA, a few federal contractors from Sandia Nuclear Labs, a Washoe County DRT C.O., a guy who was in charge of firearms training for Universal Studios and a NV DPS guy taking the host spot.

Is that course still restricted to LEO's only?

I have the basic armorer cert but I have always wanted to take that course.

For that kind of money you would have thought that the Armor's Course was included.
