Default Anyone in Portland sell Evoshield recoil shirts?

    Home page: Hunting/Shooting

Review: EvoShield Recoil Shirt: The Ultimate in Recoil Protection?

This shirt really interests me, it's fiberglass panel molds itself to your shoulder to evenly spread the recoil around. Assuming that it works as well as the reviews say it would make shooting this 300WSM mountain rifle much easier.

Cabelas sells it but I like to purchase clothes locally, anyone see these for sale in the Portland area?

    That's not very helpful.

This 300WSM weighs 6lb 10oz with scope, sling and ammo. But I'm not here to discuss the rifle.

    Never mind.

I shot it for the first time today, no sweat. Dang that was fun.

I finally got the oddball Talley mounts last week so I took it up to Maymaloose this afternoon to sight it in with the Lead Sled. After that I fired a couple of mags freehand, 150 gr Fusions at 3300 fps. The recoil calculator says 28 lb. No problem. I was wearing a sweatshirt and a Carhart jacket but when I load 180s for it I won't load them full power, warm -06 level loads are all that I need. The shoulder isn't sore at all and I'm a happy shooter.

Nobodies home yet and I had to brag to somebody.

Yeah, I think you'll find most rifles don't require those pads. Its almost like the pads were made to give us all something to buy.
