    Default Remington mfr. date?

    I just got a very nice Remington model 4 rolling block rifle chambered in 25 Stevens (25-10). I am trying to find out date of manufacture. It has the octagon barrel with the lever take down, the serial #J3096**. Just wondered if someone could help me out.
