whats the cost of building a ar 15? From the lowest to the highest.

I tried to build one for $600 and it turned into $1100 really fast. I just couldn't stand the really cheap stuff.

Pretty much the same for me, but I was able to "tame myself"* at about $900

Really will depend if you include optics in the price and what kind if you do. Optics go from $30 to $2000+

Cheapest I made one for was $55o but took time to find parts on sale or free shipping, bought a complete cmmg lower(25o) and went from there. Spent over 2ooo on building 2 ar pistols. If you want top quality I would say real close to 1ooo$.

for that price might as well purchase a prebuilt?

Cheapest ive built one for is $470. Complete DPMS upper for $350 and a complete plum crazy lower for $120. Well, $480 if you ad in the background check fee.
