Thread: Remington 700

Was on a site the other day and poster told how to check Rem s/n's to date of manufacture. Can't remember where it was at. Anyone know? Thanks

It's not the serial number.
It's the "barrel code" on the left side of the barrel, just ahead of the receiver. It is a letter code.

As long as it has the original barrel.
