Just curious, why not just shoot bullet if it makes noise as real firearm.

    But, cool concept.

Yes, but how difficult will it be to shoulder with that "Ammo Pouch" on the stock fully stocked with wooden arrows?

So if you have one of these do you hunt in rifle season, bow season, crossbow season (in some states), or take your pick?

I believe since it is still classified as a firearm you can not hunt during bow/crossbow season.

Looks like a solution to an nonexistent problem. Right up there with 17 rimfires.

    good point

I wonder if this is the real value:

    - Capable of firing all Cap-Chur type tranquilizer syringes

I don't know how much tranq guns go for but that might be the market they are after.

Sectional-density wise, it's got slugs beat hands-down. Just the thing for penetrating elephant hide.

I would be willing to bet that the sound signature would be significantly reduced with this setup as the bolt/arrow body would act as an expansion cavity similar to a single chamber suppressor allowing the gases to expand more slowly than just exiting the end of the barrel. Also much of the gas would initially vent back toward the barrel redirecting at least part of the sound signature. In theory the sound next to and behind the bore would be slightly reduced by the "expansion cavity" but the signature down range would be reduced.

Maybe for a bolt action, but isn't the 10/22 an unlocked breech? Seems like it would vent out the port before the bolt crowned.

I believe they're called bolts, not arrows, or alternatively a "quarrel."
