Was reading about the Troy Battle Sights on my S&W AR-15t and tried to turn the windage knob but cannot. Is there a trick to turning it or should I be able to use my fingers on the knurled knob?

It's similar to an A1 type rear sight. Take a .223 bullet, and poke it in the hole to depress the detent. While holding in the detent, use that bullet to turn the knob. It will go one "notch". Then do it again (like an old rotary phone).
You will likely not be able to do it by hand (which is a good thing for a BUIS).
Thanks.
That did it. Too bad they don't put info like that in their FAQ...
They just had pictures there:

You can also use a coin to in the slot to get leverage on the detent, but I prefer the bullet method.
