I have the same gun that was given to us by my wife's Uncle. He got his through a boy scout purchase back in the early 60s. Still has the #4 scratched into the bottom of the pistol grip of the stock. I did a refurb on it and it looks almost new!
This is an excellent accurate .22. Mr Brother bought me one in 1957 so I could use it in NRA rifle matches. I still shoot it occasionally. It's whisper quiet because of the long barrel. We did modify the bolt handle so we could mount a Lyman receiver sight on it. I also shot a lot of squirrels with it!
