Default Moderators please help: Twilight Zone

A week ago, I tried to post a brief (for me, at least) reply to a thread about Precision Shooting. (In General Firearms Discussion).

I got then a message saying (maybe from my IP) Website cannot be displayed. Did refresh, same result.

Subsequent efforts to post the same essay in other threads got the same result.

Started new thread: got same result. I've even started fresh from memory, re-writing the whole thing, get same result. Best I can determine is that somehow some phrases are being somehow recognized as the "same previously rejected" entry.

No vulgarity, no boundaries crossed, no "bubblegum" contained.

Suggested strategy, (humbly asked). Give me an e-mail address, send it to you, have you post it for me.

I've tried every "get-around" strategy I can imagine. Even tried "editing" it into another post: sometimes I could get a sentence or two. Then the same rejection message. I'd post it here, but I bet it'd be slammed back.

Post your title and in the body I'd say 'placeholder' or 'blah'. Then once that is successful hit the edit button.

Are you composing the thread in an external program and then pasting the text to the site? It could be trying to copy formatting that doesn't jibe.

It may be exceeding the limit in size of post. You may have to copy/paste in two posts to get the full essay posted.

Darkmin: I suspected "copy/paste" as the culprit. Hence my repeated (about 5 tries) attempts at fresh composition (assisted by my bubblegumographic memory). No luck with fresh (and deliberately altered) submissions.

DeadI: I go long as a rule, but this is greatly more brief than alot of other stuff I've posted. (Credit to you, longevity is also something I considered).

Gonna try one more time on this section. Bet it doesn't work. Like I said, this is Twilight Zone stuff.

just now tried editing to this post. no good.

Brave person give me an e-mail adr. then you try.

Just tried it here. (admittedly this time used cut and paste). Didn't work.

Just tried sending "e-mail" to Darkminstrel, then tried PM to him, same result. (These are copy/paste, but that has been proven to not be the problem). Think I need someone's true e-mail adr, go thru different channels, then have them send it from there.

This is like more than wierd.

it was a dig on devices rather than practice for long-range success.

My firm belief now that this website is controlled by the evil empire selling such devices.

Use the website TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a tiny URL to obfuscate the link.
