I think the apocalypse started already. I spent all night (technically morning) with a fully involved structure fire. We don't get those very often. Now that's a heck of a way to spend New Years

    Actually closer to two years.

The Mayan calendar says 21 December.

Bummer about Christmas in 2012 though.

I'm thinking even though I know we'll all die mere days before Xmas, I'll go ahead and do the shopping anyway. Just in case.

Apocalypse, I thought the Mayan calendar ended. Maybe the author got swayed by a pretty girl and did get back to it.

I wish they would make up their minds - doom or no doom. I have a retirement account I'd like to spend.

Not too worried about it. You could be gone tomorrow...and in all honesty the worst thing that can happen is the solar flare issues that will wipe out most of our powergrids worldwide, thus not having power for 6-12 months. Not something I am looking forward to but at the same time not worried about it today 01JAN11.

I will have my Kriss Super V and 3000 rounds of .45 ACP ready to go in my 30 sticks...

    Happy New Year everyone!
