Default Search for terms that are 3 letters or less broken

It seems as though the search function is broken for terms that are 3 letters or less. When I search for FAL or USP it returns no results (which is not correct). Please advise if I am doing something wrong.

    Thanks.

I don't believe its ever worked, though it would be nice, maybe I should have reported it as a bug instead of just thinking of it as normal...

Default To search for short words

go to google, click "advanced search".

in "all of these words:" type what you are searching for.

in "search within a site or domain:" type "northwestfirearms.com"

    click "advanced search"

A number of forums have searches for short terms disabled. Maybe the error message is wrong. But the google approach is one I'd also recommend.

I remember being able to search for 3 letter words before, it never worked for words 2 letters or less though.

Abiqua's suggestion worked great. A little further investigation turns up the following works in a standard google search:

    FAL site:www.northwestfirearms.com

    Thanks.

This works great! I'd like to thank netsecsys for asking the question and Abiqua for the great tip.
If you click where it says "Date, usage rights, numeric range, and more" you can filter by dates also.

Gee. That's wonderful but what would be even more wonderful is if the search in classifieds actually worked for smaller searches.

It's hard to believe everyone is willing to embrace a workaround rather than have the problem fixed.

try searching for a CZ 75.... feel my pain?!

Is there a reason why it can't be fixed?

You can also shortcut it by typing something like this "search terms site:northwestfirearms.com" and you don't have to use the advanced search button.

Ask and ye shall receive! (sometimes)

Should be working now, here in the site-based search

You could also do keyword searches for items 3 letters or less.

    That's cool. Thanks!

How about a way of searching the classified section by state. Am I missing an option somewhere?

You can. Do an advanced search and you can specify wtt wts etc. Use ctrl+ to select multiple options on the list.

Aah-Haaa! Figured it was something I missed. Thanks Dyjital. Between this and the Admin fix, things just got a whole lot easier.
