    that lens looks a might big ,may want to check and see what size it is and what caliber bore it can slip into.

    not talking about bore sighting I mean using it to shoot over cover without exposing yourself

    Most "scopes" have a focal point....I would guess that the bore "scope" focuses pretty close to the lens...Unless you were shooting at something incredibly close (and thus wouldn't need a scope) I don't see an advantage..

    This would have came in handy in college, but a survival scenrio? Too much gear for me.

    On a different note, didn't some company at Shot Show a year or 2 ago have some sort of periscope type thing that you could mount to your aimpoint to achieve the same end? I don't think they are around anymore though, but I am too lazy to google it.
