Thread: Looking for a free outdoor shooting area near Sherwood OR

I used to go shooting at trask in McMinnville You take a right on Butler creek rd from the 99 after the Wal-Mart and keep going until the road ends and it turns into gravel. It takes you up a logging road. I used to shoot here all the time a couple years ago. I drove out there yesterday to find out. They no longer permit target shooting in that area. I was pissed. Does anyone know of a place that is close to Sherwood where you can shoot high power rifles and rapid fire without making anyone nearby angry? I've shot in areas in Carlton but didn't feel comfortable. I was not sure if it was supposed to be shooting there. I like to make sure its a legal place to shoot. I don't want my guns confiscated and a trip to jail.

Get a map and look for BLM land. That's why i joined the gun club.
