Default I would appreciate any knowledge of the Kangley / Chester Morse Lake area

I was thinking of taking my trusty 308 up 516 to the park off Kangley. I am hoping to find some good 200 - 300 yard areas.

Does anyone have any information of the area? Are the folks out there friendly? Will a pack of hounds be tracking me out? Is the area hot for growing or cooking operations? It is a federal park so I should be ok, right?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Your 20 years too late. The entire area is closed to target shooting. Some who own land there shoot and allow others to shoot but for the most part there are too many houses hidden in the Forest that you can't see. Your closest shooting oppurtunity is pretty much Greenwater.

Unless your willing to throw down 10 bucks and shoot at the Cascade Rifle and Pistol in Ravensdale on Friday and Saturday when they let the general public in for the fee.
