The bimart in N. Salem has had crazy amounts of FMJ handgun ammo of almost all calibers, as well as .223. The only one is didn't see was 38 spl.

The Wholesale Sports in Federal Way is pretty well stocked with most calibers, and their pistol stock is back up to where it once was. I can't speak to the reloading supplies because I never pay attention to it, not being a reloader myself. The prices are a little more than Walmarts, but at least they have it, whereas Walmart is hit and miss, usually miss.
I was just at the Wholesale Sports in Federal Way the other day and they have boxes upon boxes of 9mm Luger ammo. The basic range ammo they carry is Federal American Eagle ($14.99) and Blazer Brass ($12.99).
Although their pistol selection isn't the greatest (at least now) they have a great selection of hunting rifles and shotguns.
I actually happened to pick up a Kahr PM9 (blackened stainless) at Federal Way Discount Guns while I was in the area because they always have the best prices in the Greater Seattle Area. Ex: The PM9 was $805 at Wade's in Bellevue, WA and $760 at the Discount Gun Sales (several in Seattle area). At FDG, it was only $640 and I spent a little over $700 after tax and picking up a Galco IWB holster for it. If you have a chance, stop buy Federal Way Discount Guns, you won't be disappointed.
I had never heard of this place until it was posted in this thread.
I visited the shop on Powell today. Wow! Enormous selection of reloading gear. Unfortunately, no primers and not the powders I needed, but every kind of press, die, add-on, etc. known to man. Lots of bullets.
Huge aisle of cleaning gear (but no .30 dewey rod - argh!)
Nice selection of rifles and pistols - I didn't look really closely because I'm not in the market at the moment. Lots of .223 and some nice .22LR match ammo, though the prices seemed high. But they always do to me ;-)
Huge wall of blackpowder stuff, and they had a stack of Lyman GPRs in stock, as well as a bunch of other muzzleloaders. That was very nice to see.
Pretty good aisle of books and videos, too. They were selling the Lyman 49th for $21.99,which is cheaper than I've seen it elsewhere.
Counter guys in the hunting section were friendly, too.
Overall, I was impressed by the selection and diversity of goods.
I visited the one in Federal Way last weekend - very well stocked, but I think prices have increased a bit. It looks like they got some new capital to restock the store. Way too many people working there given the number of customers.
I'm glad they are back; we'll see how they do in the long run.
Vancouver store is good to look at stuff. Not always best on price. I was discouraged when it used to be Sportmans, because they had no stock towards the end, but now Wholesale sports is up and running.
Sports Authority is just what it says a sports store. No firearms or anything to do with them. But if you do happen to hit a Wholesale Sports then yes they do have a decent amount of ammo and guns. The Sportsmens here in the couve went out and they took it over. Slowly things are coming back to normal. Also here is a link the where they are located http://www.wholesalesports.com/storefront/usa.ep
But when it comes to ammo you can not beat the local Bi Mart![]()

Sports Authority does now sell firearms & ammo. They also carry fishing rods. Both of which belong in a sports store.
I just moved from the Boise area, and was sad to see so many of the Sportsmans Warehouses go up here. I went to the Wholesales sports in Burlington expecting them to have the same stockpile of ammo that made me love Sportsmans back home. I was upset to say the least once i looked at their shelves. The ammo shelves make the store look like it just got robbed. At least i have 2 Sportsman Warehouses and a Cabelas within a few minutes drive when i head back Idaho![]()
It's ok now that their getting ammo and guns in again, However, if you had a sportsmans gift card, you now have a useless card. Wholesale sports doesn't honor them.
ok the deal is sportsmans sold all there west coast stores to wholesale sports.
the problem with the empty shelves are, that they didnt have there sh!t in order when they bought out sportsmans and couldnt get there license to sell guns and ammo. being owned out of the country. so now thats all better they are waiting on orders of stuff to get there.
i was there the other day and ya its getting better.
I was in the Johnson Creek area today so I dropped into Warehouse Sports - I haven't been in there since it changed hands.
The same as Sportsman's Warehouse in its last days even down to the nearly empty reloading items shelves.
No Hornady 40S&W XTPs and no primers in view at all so I asked at the counter. The first guy told me they had no primers because of Obama - I couldn't find out why Obama had a special dislike for this store. Second guy tells me that they had no primers because Oregon is such a liberal state - he told me that you can buy as many primers as you want anywhere in Idaho but as soon as you cross the border into Oregon there is a primer shortage.
So I went to Fisherman's Marine in Oregon City and bought 1000 small pistol primers (they had 3 more 1000 boxes plus other primers on the shelf), 2 pounds of Unique (the assistant had to get my second pound from "the back" and he bought three pounds more with him to restock the shelves), and I bought 100 Hornady 40S&W XTP bullets (and they had several more boxes left).
Warehouse Sports has a useless purchasing department and it is sinking into the mire.
Last time I was in the Salem store, an employee at the gun counter said when they changed from Sportsman's to Wholesale Sports, they actually went down on the food chain as far as suppliers were concerned.
wholesale sports pretty much sucks, the ammo they do have is way overpriced and all their accessories are out there as well. I did buy my glock from there since they do tend to have pretty decent gun deals but thats about it. I dont know how they stay in business there is never anyone there and they never seem to have any screamin deals.
Fishermans marine on the other hand is an awesome place and they've become a regular stop for me next to bi-mart.
Also went into walmart last weekend over on 192nd in Vancouver and they had federal 40 s&w for 13.99 a box, that seemed like a real good deal. They also had several bricks of .22 for 19 bucks, not a great deal but not terrible since it was a decent brand, dont remember exactly.
