Default News! Now a Stocking C-2 Taser Dealer!!!

    Great News!

"If the only tool you have is a hammer then every problem looks like a nail" ~ A. Maxlow

There is truth to this statement...if all we do is carry and shoot guns then one believes the only solution to every self defense situation is a firearm - and that isn't always the case!

Oregon Firearms Academy is now a stocking dealer for the C2 Taser and accessories.

For years our students have been asking us about less-than-lethal (and less liability) options. We do sell FOX OC which is one of the best on the market but the problem with OC is the defender usually ends up being contaminated him/herself (along with everyone else who didn't deserve to be sprayed.)

Anyway, as another option, in our "layered defense" strategy is to have a Taser! The C2 is exactly the same technology found in the LEO models - 50,000 volts! It shoots two darts 15' (same as the LEO model) and has the capability to be used at contact distance - i.e. direct contact.

The ONLY difference between the C2 and LEO models is the C2 size is smaller and it "Tas's" the perp for 30 seconds rather than the default 5 seconds for the LEO model. This gives you 30 seconds to set the unit down and escape.

Also the Taser C2 is capable of being carried in states that often do not allow legal conceal carry and/or have very restrictive firearm laws. (NOTE: You must do your homework before transporting the unit on an airplane or travel through states).

If you're interested in learning more about the Taser C2 product itself then please peruse their web site - http://www.taser.com

We're stocking the C2 Taser with Laser and it comes in either all black or the black/blue combo, a battery, a cartridge, owners/instructional manaul, and training DVD. It retails for over $350 and we're making it available to you for $300 plus Shipping.

The unit comes ready to go other than you're required by Taser to undergo a very easy Internet based background check for an additional $10 or $12 paid to them (not OFA) and assuming you pass the check will be given an activation code to activate your Taser.

Please contact the OFA Office directly for more info about purchasing a Taser C2 model and accessories - you can PM me but I'll just defer you to Vivian our Office Manager anyway as she is the boss at OFA! Call Vivian at 541-451-5532 or email her at vivian@oregonfirearmsacademy.com

Just another blurb on the C2's. With the 30 second cycle time, it is designed to be used and set down to allow you to retreat. With a Police report, Taser Int. will replace a left behind unit free of charge.

Is there a practice cartridge for the C2?

It would be nice to get good at using it before you NEED to use it.

    Congrats Dan!!!

No practice cartridges available. Only spares, but they aren't priced too bad.

Doh! Sorry, oversight on my part. $300 for a unit which includes the taser, a cartridge, a battery (good for 50 hits), owner's manual, and a training DVD. This is about $50 below what we found when we did some searching.

fwiw, I am generally not a laser guy, but for these items I think it's a necessity as the C2 does not have any traditional "iron" sights. The Laser and pointing are you only means of target alignment.

    Great price Dano!
