Edmonds homeowner fatally shoots intruder, medical examiner says it’s homicide | Seattle Times Newspaper

"The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has identified the man killed in the shooting as Kenneth Richard Talley, 26, of Edmonds. Talley died of multiple wounds to the head and torso. His death has been classified a homicide."

Three cheers for the homeowner. The 26 year old intruder had a long record. No room and board required.

Yikes. The story says detectives remained at the home for an entire day and then obtained a search warrant. The story also makes a point to mention a person must "lawfully possess" the property they are defending. Sounds like the homeowner may not be an innocent victim. Sadly, in a great many of these cases the victim is involved in illegal activity alongside the invader.
