The snorpy 1908 photo is amazing. Notice the condition of the curbs, sidewalk and street. How many folks do you suppose walked into that bay window before they put up the rail? Using Goggle Earth's Street View, you can still see part of the old building that was demolished in 1971.

What's that woman doing in the open window? Is she going to jump, or is she trying to flash her chest to the camera man?
