Default No Political Discussions Anywhere On NWFA Unless They Are Directly Related To Guns...

"No political discussions anywhere on NWFA unless they are directly related to guns or gun rights..."

My apologies to the mods who have had to send me warnings for violation of this rule.

I used to be a moderator for a time on a popular motorcycle adventure forum where we had a similar rule. However, over there we had an "off topic" (named more colorfully) section that open political discussions, (and many other off topics) were allowed.

So...For any other semi-illiterate types like myself, the above quoted rule applies to this here, "Off Topic" section as well.

No problem. A lot of us have been down that road too. I think the biggest problem is that political discussions that start out as gun related sometimes quickly devolve into general political discussions (Internet shouting matches). I would encourage anyone that sees this start to happen to a thread maybe post something to gently nudge it back to being gun related.

Of course I have never been guilty of this.

I used to hang out in a tavern that had a cuss jar. I would throw a twenty in as soon as I walked in just to be good for the night. Maybe a good fundraiser for the mod's to institute something simular related to politics. Where do I send my twenty?

    To me! j/k

Political threads that are not gun related are highly likely to divide us. Very little good normally comes from these "discussions". We need to be focusing on the things that bring us together (firearms), not the things that have the potential to divide us (politics).

Thanks to Gunfixx for bringing this up...

So what your sayin is "Can't we all just get along"......

Just like everything else, opinions are like belly buttons everybody done got one.We just don't need to hear them unless it directly relates to firearms, end of discussion.
