Thread: How do I make a SBS?

I bought a used shotgun for $100. Now all I have to do is fill out the atf forms and pay $200? OH, and cut off my barrel? Can you please explain the sequence of steps for me?

Fill out the Form 1, submit it (in duplicate), supporting documents and check for $200 to ATF. When, and only when, you receive back the approved Form 1 do you cut the barrel.

Be sure to read and follow the instructions precisely. If you a not 100% certain that the forms are correctly filled out, do not waste the examiners time by sending them in. They will simply return them to you unapproved, and they will have already cashed your check...
