So, it's full auto? I'm not sure you can legally sell it, unless it's been transfered to you.

If your grandpa had it from the war and it is not papered, you are in possesion of an unregistered MG. If big brother finds out you have it, two things will happen. First, they will have you sign a certificate of abandonment and turn the gun over to them. Second you will be charged with possesion of a MG. One count is 7 years. Put it away and never take it out again. Do not post on the internet that you have anything that might be illegal. Ignorance is no defence in a court of law.

Yep, it's laying around... buried in a field in France somewhere... not in your house of course, definitely not. In fact you've never even seen it, you just heard your grandpa talking about it and don't really know why he got rid of it in France.

Too bad, it especially sucks that you can't have it because you lost all your other firearms in that tragic boating accident last summer, remember? What a bummer.

I can help you sell it if you like. If it's transferable it will be worth $3,000-$7,000 depending on the year, condition, version.
If it's not transferable, it can be demiled and sold as parts.

If it's not transferable, is there a way to make it semi?

It would have to be totally demiled to ATF specs and built as a semi auto on a new receiver.
