MY gunsmith did a wonderful job of threading my new 10//22 MK III 5.5" Bull Barrel for my 'Can' ..... Total cost only $65 which included the thread protector. He is just plain good!

Yes it did. Had to get that special tap though, as Ruger uses a non-standard thread for their sight screws.Looks great,
