Thread: Howdy...

So, I'm a single dad with a great 12 y/o son. We have been working hard to spend more and more time outdoors. I never grew up around firearms, and the only hunter that I knew, my grandfather on my mom's side, passed away when I was little. He hunted pheasant back east.

Anyway, a few friends are avid shooters and hunters. My boy got his first bird gun for xmas, and I landed a great deal on our first .22 lr, a beauty of a Ruger.

Glad to be here. Looking forward to making a few new friends.

Get you and your son into a hunter's safety class ASAP. Also, Join the NRA. Get a subscription to Field And Stream magazine. You'll be well on your way. Getting involved with the Boy Scouts is a good idea too.
