Thread: New guy from Renton, WA

Hello everyone.

I stumbled across NWFA after doing some searches for my first carry handgun. Former military, current Government IT geek.

I've had an interest in firearms for a while and have a .22 LR from way back (hand me down from grandpa to dad to me), and a Remington 12 gauge back with my grandparents in Detroit (until I drive back there and retrieve it).

I honestly haven't been shooting for quite a while. Long story short, until I got here, I was playing the Gov't contract game and moved a lot.

My younger brother has been here for about 3 years (to my 1) and purchased an XD-9 over at Wade's in Bellevue. We plan to go throw some iron downrange there soon.

I'm open to suggestions though.

Iron??? I think lead bullets are cheaper and not as rough on your firearms.
