    I REALLY like this part"
Tom Gresham, host of the nationally syndicated Gun Talk radio program. He sternly told the crowd that, “If you own guns and are not a member of the NRA, you’re sitting in the wagon and the rest of us are pulling your weight.”

I'm a member but I havent decided if I'm going to renew or not. I don't mind pulling my weight but I get more phone calls, emails and letters from the NRA asking for my money then almost all the other companies out there trying to sell me stuff put together. I give when I can but they really do harass a person. At least it's quieter IN the wagon.

Dave - did Cold Steel do the off site dinner this year? That used to be one of the best "perks" after hours off site for the show and, unlike the casino floor, it didn't cost you a dime to participate.
    Enjoy the show !

Great to see you briefly at the show Dave.

As to the NRA comments. 43yo, grew up in a household with firearms, my dad is a life NRA member.... I am not, nor have I ever been a member of the NRA, nor will I every be a member.... I have since I was in my 20s given money to the SAF. No one is pulling my weight, that type of elitist mentality from the NRA is precisely why I do it my way.

Just got back. Spent the whole week there. Feet sore, but it was worth it.
Got to attend Glock party. They gave away a $35,000 Harley.
New stuff at the show as usual, but nothing earth-shaking.
Suppressors seem to be gaining in a national movement.

I am a life member, so I have no option of not renewing I didn't get any phone calls from NRA, and now I also don't get any mail from NRA - I contacted them, and they've put me on the "do not mail" list.

As I write this "Love in an Elevator" is playing on my stereo. Would one assume that Stephan Tyler would have a hard time answering at least one of the Questions on a 4473 truthfully? LIKE HOW MUCH COKE HAS GONE UP THAT NOSE?

Ok, so the SHOT is not an "open" event... Just for manufactuers, dealers, and firearms related media/reporters/reviewers.

As much as I dig most Aerosmith songs, please SOMEONE tell me how Steven Tyler qualifies to attend the SHOT event, other than his obvious (BFD) celebrity? I would have gone to the SHOT event (and even spend some money on some gear), but I don't have the "qualifications" outlined above. Seems a bit elitist to me...

Spent wed-fri there and am still sore. Also dont think I'll ever join the NRA unless they get behind us that are into NFA. I joined SAF last year and they gave me some free stickers at the show.
