I don't know, Chief. I'm pretty evolved myself, being a Madisonian professor, but I don't know. I do have a question for you though: Why haven't the police — the police you lead — eliminated crime in our neighborhoods? Why are there still rapes and robberies? Why are there still gangs? Why haven't your police evolved to the point where you have solved these problems for us? Because, I know that I, personally, would love to depend on government for all my personal protection. How come you cannot come up with something?

It's a fair question from the Chief.
Answer is that human nature contains opportunistic greed and violence. There will always be bad guys... and I'm not putting my life (and the lives of my loved ones) on the line waiting for the police to show up.

It seems to never end! Will they wear us down? Will they indoctrinate all incoming replacement humans, the kids? No doubt they will try.

I read in the human owners manual, the bible, that in the end there will be a one world government that is dictatorial beyond our abilities to imagine it. All we can do is slow it down by standing firm, and never vote for a democrat! Nor for a rino like Romney unless it's clearly the best choice available, nor a Jew hater like Paul.

When the bad people stop using permanent means of taking what they want,us good people can stop using permanent means to stop them.
This will never happen. And that police chief needs to be fired if he thinks like that. He is a danger to his men and the city. He hasn't studied criminal law or criminals enough to be in that position.
Guns have been around for hundreds of years.They are present in every country.They are available to whoever has the money.
They will never go away.

He ,and many like him,need to accept this and do what is necessary to keep law and order.
Taking guns from the common folk will not do this.It will only make more criminals from perfectly legal people.
I will always have a gun.Legal or not,I will always have a gun.
So will most of you on here.
It is necessary to keep your home safe because the police CAN NOT always protect you.

WE are a free society and we need to be able to protect ourselves or we are not FREE

This means we need to be able to use guns.And has for a couple of centuries.
It will never change.

I'm no bible-thumper, but their right to believe what they believe is as important to a free society as the 2nd Amendment is to protecting said free society, as outlined by that same BoRs that you love so much. Now, if he were to start preaching at me/us, telling us we're wrong or whatever, then that's a problem. But quoting something from a book you don't like, is no reason to do something as asinine as getting yourself banned. If you look at the end of that book, it tends to forecast the course the world seems to be on nowadays. I'm not attempting to make this a religious-anything, just making a point.
