    Default Proud Today

I didn't vote for him...but, today I am proud that he, as Commander in Chief, took the initiative to authorize appropriate action against the Samoli pirates.

Flame me if you want...but, good for Obama on this one.

Default WTF did Obama have to do with it?

I wonder if our new messiah even knew what action was taking place. I wouldn't be too swift to give him credit. He was proabably still so busy giving out other peoples money and firing private industry execs that he won't even have time to take credit till mid week.

Once he figures who it was that took a tough stand on Americas behalf, he'll put a stop too it!

But seriously it only took 5 days, mass out cry, and getting shot at by pirates.

What should have happened is we should have had destroyers over there on patrol taking out the pirates a couple years ago. Last I heard the pirates made something like 80 million last year.
    Joke!

But a big salute to the SEAL snipers. Three shots. Three kills.

    Default Proud

I'd feel proud if the chosen one would prove he's a citizen. Possibly then I'd consider being proud!

Until I learn more, I will be giving all the credit to the U.S. Navy.

Why did it have to get to this point? I think I have been reading about pirate activities for over a year now. Why hasn't the US simply start providing escort services for a convoy of ships on a daily (or every few days) basis?

I'm guessing you don't realize how MANY ships there are out there. The US can't protect them all, nor should we.
