    Default Self Defense Shoot

Robber shot by would-be victim. I hope he's got his carry permit.
Church's customer shoots robber in neck | Fox10tv.com

What amazes me about this story is the comment by a local sheeple:
"I can understand why he would defend himself. But we have law enforcement here in our city. Have to let them do their job," said area resident Dorsey Valree.

He would have been robbed and possibly injured/killed if he waited for police to do their job, yet this idiot thinks he should just wait for the 3-5 minutes it's going to take for PD to respond. Now PD's job is much easier because the perp didn't get away!

I hope they have a more understanding criminal system there and know that the criminal picked the wrong "victim" and should feel lucky to be alive...end of story! The laws should favor the victim not the criminal. too many libtards in the world!!!

Why didn't he just shoot the box cutter out of his hands and then call the cops?

    WTF?

Potential conversation when Dorsey Valree gets robbed, "Mr. robber sir, if you don't stop now I will be forced to call the police and then you will be in big trouble bucko!"

Too true! I think loads of people-- from every point on the political spectrum-- just haven't really thought about the reality of being robbed & having their life directly threatened. It ain't fun. Heck I don't think I myself ever actually, reallllly thought about it until it happened to me the 1st time a zillion years ago... Our LE people are heroes every day but flat-out overloaded, and in any case who'd wanna live in a society where everyone was shadowed by an officer 24/7? I'm proud of my armed friends & neighbors, and glad I can be my own armed escort

I am pretty sure he was just being facetious.

Probably didn't have the gun sighted in,that is why he missed the box cutter and hit the victim. Lucky he didn't have Dum Dum bullets cause that would have been a crime as they are very bad. Wonder if they have counseled him about giving a verbal warning and possibly ending this situation in a peaceful manner. Will his medical insurance cover the victims hospital expenses. I imagine the wounded persons lawyer will seek monetary compensation. Did he dial 911 before shooting, these and other important questions will be answered when they get around to it....

That resident is one of those that deserves it to happen to her and then see what she says. She has a stupid opinion of it, but I like the comments that are left,
    "AREYM says:
SERVES THE BAS**** RIGHT!! NO DOUBT HE NEEDED MORE DRUGS...!!

    johnnyreb says:
It looks like he shot him in the nose. Kudos for the shooter.

    Shutterbug says:
Don't show up for a gun fight with a knife.......
Glad the victim wasn't hurt. "

At least the people reading the story and commenting on it got their head on their shoulders.

i've found that the vast majority of member comments on these stories seem to be pro-gun, pro-self defense. doesn't seem to matter if it's CNN, MSNBC, Fox, NYT, CT, whatever. which is really odd, when the topic of gun control is so "controversial" in this country. how is it very few people- online, or in my real life- are anti-gun, when the government and media would have you believe the topic is "so controversial?" it's not. they're jackasses, and want to make it seem that way.

Americans want guns, and want criminals shot. overwhelmingly.

I was told this a little differently - Dead men tell no lies in court and get no sympathy.
