No wolf, you and I are little people compared to the important senators. They should be allowed to have guns, but we can't be trusted with them...

The elite are pro-control. If they have a weapon that they can control, that's acceptable. However, arms need to be kept out of the likes of the public to facilitate control of the population.

Weapons aren't safe in the hands of "every man." Only law enforcement (agents of the government) or military should have weapons, and the rest of us need to rely on those agents for our protection. These are themes the elite pump into our society, and that the media (and sheeple) adopt as their own.

If you read the rest of the article, the guy is a real piece of work:

..the agency is already looking into accusations against the senator.

A man recently accused Soles of attempting to molest him, leading authorities to ask the SBI to investigate.
The 17-term senator from Columbus County, ... survived a federal indictment in the early 1980s tied to an investigation into corruption in his home county called Colcor.

In August 1983, charges of conspiracy, vote-buying and perjury were dropped for lack of evidence, then he was acquitted in federal court of aiding and abetting bribery.

Reminds me of Fienstein. She is the biggest gun grabber out there, but has her CHL in California! lol.

Though I agree with the sarcasm, did you notice that on a link from that site he is now under indictment, "State Sen. R.C. Soles, the state's longest-serving legislator, was indicted Thursday on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury."
And from another link;"Soles has said he was acting in self-defense after Blackburn and another man tried to kick in the door of his home." So he didn't know the law in his home state concerning defending himself and his home.

This is rather perplexing, he opposes firearm ownership, but he shoots someone who is trying to break into his home. And when he tries to protect himself and shoots someone he (an attorney) doesn't know enough of the law to know when deadly force is warranted. Sounds like he picked the wrong side to be on.

And if you were to try to break into a home wouldn't you pick one where you thought that had no guns.

I wonder if it's to late for him to join the NRA and get a good lawyer.

Even old Rosie O'Donnell (one of the biggest anti-gunning tards with media attention) has an armed body guard escort with her and her children.

They want the firearm laws to apply to everyone else, not to them. They are important, we're just the sheep that listen and follow what they tell us.

This is the second time this was posted this week, and it was discussed at length last summer. This makes the rounds of the net like a virus, Look at the date!

It's all part of the internet analemma. IIRC, it's a 6 month and two year combined cycle. Besides, there's all these new folks that didn't get a chance to ... discuss it.

It may be old news, but it does still help to vulcanize our resolve to educate and stay in the political process.
And the more we discuss things together, the better we can discuss and argue our points with those that oppose our rights and views.

Besides that Hollywood couldn't have written a scenario better that this.

I never heard about it either...and if it is a true story, then who cares how old it is? It's not a repost so let the man have his thread.

Perhaps the moderators of the site could start helping to educate the members about making thread titles more explicit. What are the titles of the other threads? If the guy's name, the state, city, etc. were in the thread title then the member who is going to post about this next week might not do it.
