Thread: SW Mckenzie Cow Hunt?

Hey everybody,

I drew the SW Mckenzie Rifle Cow Elk tag. I was wondering if anybody had any tips on where to scout/find them? I have been hunting for almost 12 years...and have never killed one. Any help would be appreciated,

probably best just to call a bio at the field office, asking someone for where to hunt is kind of like asking them to borrow there wife haha i feel your pain though i dont know to many hunters myself so i spend alot of gas money trying to figure out where to go

Samuel is right call the ODFW office thats in charge of that area and ask to talk with one of the Biologists. They issue cow tags becasuse the herd needs thinned out. The Bio's can provide some really good info at times. They like to talk and have great maps so if you can meet with them face to face its the best.
