Thread: Varmint Hunting

Anybody know of a good place to go varmint hunting for sagerats etc...
A bunch of buddies and I would like to do a couple varmint weekend hunting trips that aren't too far from Portland. I don't want to drive all the way out to Eastern Oregon.

Well, that's what you'll have to do if you want to hunt sage rats or "squeeks" as we call them. They aren't around this end of the state. We've had such crappy luck though that we just keep going into Idaho now though. We can actually spend all day shooting them instead of looking for 2 or 3 to shoot.

Burns or Madras has been good to me. But I know some farmers out there that lets us setup tables and shoot them all day long. Just gotta get the guts to ask them.
