Thread: Drawn for Cow Elk

Two of us in our hunting group were drawn this year so with that portion of the hunting gods smiling on us we look forward to bringing home some meat. It has been 2yrs (spike only GMU's) since we had Elk hanging in camp. Hopefully the Winter hits early and gets them moving around.

Did anyone else get drawn?

We did not get drawn for Eastern Oregon rifle deer. We usually get drawn 2 out of every 3 years, so were due for a no-draw.

We put in for an any elk rifle on a whim and did not get drawn (really didn't expect to, need about 10 preference points to be competative for that one).

So we will rifle hunt (actually, I will hand gun hunt) west side deer and bow hunt elk, both over the counter tags.

I did get drawn for a rifle doe tag, so have a chance at 2 deer this year.
