    Default Looking for starter 1911

    US Coast Guard wife, looking for an inexpensive 1911; something along the lines of rock island or taurus would be perfect. I would preferably like to trade for one of several long guns that I have or a trijicon reflex sight that I also have.

    Trading;
    .308 mauser
    .22lr
    Trijicon reflex sight with amber triangle and polarizer
    Also have 8mm mauser, but it's an heirloom, all matching serials and original bayonet. Would only throw that in on a nice trade.

    If you can handle ordering give a look at Centerfire Systems they usually have good RIA pricing. I would take the RIA over Taurus FWIW.

    I'd like to think iamme meant that if you want to go through the trouble of ordering,... but I could be wrong.

    Yep no knock intended at all!! Your post seemed like you were trying to stay local!

    If trying to stay around $400- Rock Island. If willing to go $5-600 then I'd say keep an eye open for a Springfield.
