Thread: Extra mag for a Colt MK IV series 80 officers ACP.

I just recently got this firearm as a gift for graduating the Police Academy, I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to pick up an extra mag for it. I was told that all Colt 1911's mags are the same but not quite sure.

I've had great sucess with using both companies. Since your gun is an "officer" size, the frame is shorter than a government size 1911 frame. If you want the magazine to fit flush in the gun, you will need to buy the officer size magazines however if you dont mind the magazine hanging out, any 1911 magazines will work. I only use Chip McCormick and Wilson Combat mags. Enjoy the new gun!
