Thread: Cimarron 1911

Seen a nice nickel plated version at the gun show. Anybody have any knowledge or experience with them?

The Cimmaron World War I Model is a gussied up, highly polished blued, Armscor Philippines model. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but you end up paying about $250.00 more for what amounts to a polished blued finish. I looked at one at Cabela's and it was a nice looking gun, but for that price you are into Springfield Mil-Spec territory. The same gun in a Rock Island Armory basic Model sells at my local dealer for $388.00. The Cabela's model was $650.00.

Yeah, the one at the gun show was going for $650.00. A little high for a cimarron product if you ask me. Maybe I'll just stick with buying a new rock island armory 1911 instead. Last time I checked, I can get a nickel rock island for $469.00.
